My First Blog

I'm sitting at work trying to figure out the next way to procrastinate when I finally decide to start my first blog. How did I get here? Well, this morning while taking the bus in, I'm thinking "What are the things I want to do with my life?" and "Am I doing them?" Unsurprisingly, I'd really like to write a book. Not just on any topic but some fiction/fantasy thing. Something where you get to really just make stuff up... Create stories out of characters and circumstances that are at the fringes of imagination... Also of course to write a decently readable story.

So, I get into the office, go through the monotony of checking my email then the voicemail. I have a few meetings this afternoon which I'm looking forward to. I then turn to handy dandy "Yahoo" and start just reading up on what it takes to write a fiction book. So, there's a whole process it seems of looking up publishing and writing book proposals. Also some crap on getting a book agent, all of which I'm pretty sure is way beyond me.

Somebody sends me a few emails about our afternoon meeting and I agreeable change our meeting time. As busy as I am, I'm flexible.

So, after all that, it's about an hour into my day at work and I've decided to use an online blog. A place to just post some ideas, maybe write a few pages, and see if people are really reading this stuff. Going back to ol' "yahoo" I do a search on blogs and lo and behold, blogger.com is the largest and most well know blog site on the Internet. So I guess I'm kind of going with the flow, sign up for an account and here I am, "My First Blog..."
